More details...

With the swelling going on in my lower left leg and the history of my nearly high blood pressure my wife thought it would be wise to get in touch with my doctor and at least have my blood pressure checked to rule out any real circulatory issues.

So I did.

Blood pressure was spot on perfect! Which is great news! The tough news was that apparently I tore part of my calf muscle and will need to take at least two weeks off from running to heal up properly. I have been prescribed a walking regime (20-30min three times a day on a flat surface; no hills) and some Motrin.

Injury -- it is all part of the lovely sport. Happy Healing. Good thing is that I have noticed that with each injury I just get stronger.
